When are they going to just trade Frost? He’s obviously not the player they want. It’s not doing the player or the team any good languishing in the press box.
We're rapidly getting towards the waive, instead of trade stage.

It'll be ironic if they depress Frost's value so badly that they end up waiving him, and he gets claimed by Chicago in the same year the Flyers finally got Patrick Sharp back in the fold.

He then goes on to play 2C behind Bedard and ends up being a yearly 70p player and PP specialist.

I figured something out on how to get Frost back in the lineup without Torts having to resort to putting him on the 4th line.

From:
Tippett-Couturier-Atkinson
Konecny-Laughton-Foerster
Farabee-Cates-Brink
Deslauriers-Poehling-Hathaway

To
Tippett-Couturier-Atkinson
Konecny-Frost-Foerster
Farabee-Laughton-Brink
Deslauriers-Cates-Hathaway

Easy-peasy

Why not flip Atkinson and Tippett? Would seem Tippett developing on his natural side should be more important than playing Atkinson on his off side.

The unwillingness to break up the fourth line or even consider scratching someone from the 4th line seems like a pretty bizarre place to stamp as an absolute.
The worst fixed line is the Couts line. He continues to get saddled with players he generally has to drag around. The whole lineup is a mess and it is a sick joke that Deslauriers is immune from being healthy scratched.

Tippett and Foerster are struggling worse than Frost was in his two games. I'm not sure why they're getting free passes, either.

There are at least three candidates to sit so Frost can get back in the lineup. Torts is just flexing his authority to make an example out of Frost for some reason. Those reasons are entirely his own because we'll never get a full explanation publicly.

Cates is getting the linemates Frost should be getting in the hopes Cates will suddenly become an offensive dynamo... and of course he scores against Vegas and probably should have had one more, so Torts thinks the plan is working... infuriating.
