Polls from now on will be open for two days. We're getting into the nitty gritty so I want a larger voting sample

I'm still on the Oettinger train. I'm thrilled to have him in our prospect pool.

Now I'm jumping on the Oettinger train. He's the last of my (A+) to (A-) potential prospects.

Personally would have Oettinger over Robertson and Dickinson, but it's not a huge difference.

Just comparing freshman season to freshman season, how is Tufte in the same conversation as Oettinger? He wasn't even .5 ppg.

Because prospect rankings consider potential too and Tufte's season last year followed scout expectation to a tee so his pointless first 13 games don't worry me nearly as much as it does for others. Add that to the fact that goalies' development is still pretty hard to predict means I tend to not rank goalie nearly as high as others.

That would make sense if the choice was between Tufte and Caamano or something. Oettinger was #1 ranked NA goalie, it's safe to say his season must have followed scout expectations because that's as high as it gets. Plus he was actually good. It's fine to say Tufte has potential, but you are suggesting he has so much potential that it covers the value of Oettinger's potential plus Oettinger's demonstrably better current ability with some to spare.
