Honestly beyond elated about this pick. I was a fan of Barzal up until the last week or so, only because I feel like Zacha had the size and speed to match any other 1st line center in the game whereas just imagine Barzal matched up against someone like Getzlaf or even Eichel.

Great pick by the Devils, and looking forward to Zacha in red and black.

I think he will get a long look next year but he should ultimately go back. He needs to develop and he needs to play. That was kind of interrupted last year with his injuries, suspensions, and tournaments.

It's really adorable how genuinely delighted he is to be drafted by New Jersey. I'm rooting so hard for him to be an awesome player for us.
