Lose in reg: check
No injuries: check
Fired loser GM: chuck

Awesome possum
Clarke Barber and the country club still in charge? Check
Installed carefully groomed patsy at GM to do their bidding? Check
So whose the only person to lose their job over this failure? Chuck.

Good grief

They were hard to play against, Vegas got a 4-1 lead, partially due to stupid penalties, and the Flyers came storming back. Last year they would have rolled over and lost 6-1.

I wanted Sandstrom to go on a hot streak after his good game, and maybe build some trade value. This game won't help, though a couple goals were unstoppable, a couple weren't.

Lemieux had a really good game for a "plug," whereas Bellows is making a case for a future as an AHL second liner. Lemieux can skate and made a couple nice offensive plays.

Foerster looked solid, he make a push to start next year, but he's not going to sit Allison when he returns. And they will want to take a long look at Lemieux. Phantoms are hot, he'll get plenty of work there.

Farabee and Tippett are getting a lot of "almost" goals, shots off goalie shoulders, shots that trickle and hit a goal post, . . .

Seeler is making a push for the top 4, watch out Sanheim!

Seeler's was pretty damn sweet, but this is still one of my all-time favorites.

Knew what goal this was going to be before I hit play.

Oh, brother.

Yes, we're so hard to play against that we're now 28th overall in the league. 29th and even 30th might be doable with a little more luck.

We can all reasonably chuckle at the "harder to play against" meme, but the Flyers did give the GK's a tough slog last night. They had several prolonged offensive-zone sequences and didn't give up a ton of chances as could have been expected.

Being hard to play against isn't synonymous with being good.
There are talented teams that go belly up on a regular basis during a season, get a jump on them and they roll over and play dead. If the fancy offensive plays aren't working, they don't have a plan B.
Conversely, a bad team can work hard every night and make you earn your win.

They lose a lot more than they win. They're not that hard to play against.
