THIS DATE IN FLYERS' HISTORY: March 8, 1998

Alexandre Daigle scored his first goal as a Flyer on a breakaway with 0:53 left in OT and snapped a 15-game scoreless drought to lift Philly to a thrilling 4-3 home win on ESPN vs. Pittsburgh. Shjon Podein gave the Flyers a 3-2 lead with 0:46 left in regulation but Jaromir Jagr scored with 0:15 remaining. Rumors circulated (later verified) during the game that Wayne Cashman was to be replaced as head coach by Roger Neilson.

Good luck guys.

FYI, we're celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 95 Cup. Don't ask why we didn't do this earlier on in the year when we played Detroit because I have no idea.

Anyways, I'm hoping for a good game!

lol didn't want to rub it in, I guess.

I'm hoping for a good game as well, but the opposite of that seems much, much more likely.

Now that playoffs are done, and being the Devils, Hard to get up for this

Get Vinny some points and hope after we pay him his bonus someone will take him.

NJ is one of two teams that could realistically pass us in the league standings before years end. So...there's that, I guess.

Tank onward.

A showdown against two bad teams who will not make playoffs and will not get a good pick.

How exciting...

I'm still depressed over the Bruins game, can you tell?

This is a fairly important game to lose if we want to get that 7th pick. Tuesday vs Dallas is another big one. I'd really, really like to pick 7th or 8th. It would give us some excellent options.

It would be nice, but knowing this team they'll go on another run.

If we get 7th, won't we just take Crouse?
