[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I checked on him a couple of times and he seemed all right. Obviously, it’s intense and you don’t really know what’s going on initially when contact happens.
I’m just chasing back, trying to get in front of the pass going to the far post as he slid with the pass and he was just kind of way outside his crease and we ran into each other.
- Ryan McDonagh

It really didn’t have much flow and we felt we were kind of trading chances for a little but and then it was bang, bang, bang. We just weren’t able to bury out chances after that.
You look at their first goal, off the way and back. The second goal is a shot that bounces off a shin pad and then the third goal is a power play goal.
Bang, bang, bang and it’s unfortunate.
- Derek Stepan

Traffic, it’s two things, it’s forwards going into that hard area to make things happen and the defense getting shots through.
Yes, they were good defensively and checked well but we needed to execute better with the puck and we needed to go into those harder areas and we didn’t.
- Alain Vigneault

If anyone is in DC, I have an extra pair to sell in Sec 424, will sell for under-market/discount. Would like to sell to a fellow Ranger fan if possible.

Let's hope Craig Laughlin doesn't tell the country tonight that it would be good to hit Ranger players illegally after the period expires and hope they are injured, like a certain Pittsburgh broadcaster did last night.

NHL Network is a **** joke.

Bob Errey should be fined by the league for his comments during the game last night, but won't because Bettman and the league enjoy them.

How did Hank get hurt? Did he get hurt or is it the flu or something?

Hank got run over by his own teammate (McDonagh) and didn't get a whistle. Then he threw the net.

He had spasms in between periods and was taken out.

The spasms probably didn't go away.

The ref who didn't stop play for the potential injury should be suspended without pay.

Is there a video of this?

McDonagh collided with him before the net flip, might have caused something there. During intermission after second period, he had neck spasms. AV/Ramsey decided to sit him, just in case.

Honestly, if Hank wanted to show he was hurt, he shouldn't have gotten up. Instead he got up and got back to his crease. If he had stayed down during the play, the whistle would have most likely been blown.

As long as we don't give up a **** ton of power plays to the Caps, we should be fine. Most of the time they get goals against us, it's either some flukey stuff or because we allow them to get a PP and we don't cover the OviSpot[sup]TM[/sup]

If there is, it happened right after the end of the second period, when the Pittsburgh player hit Zuccarello after the horn sounded.

Errey said (paraphrasing), "Good! HIT THEM! Even if it is after the horn and they get hurt! Zuccarello floats around like he's better than everyone else and can't get hit. No, HIT HIM AND HURT HIM. Same goes for the other Rangers."

NHL Network cut Root off during his rant and went to the studio.

Posted this in the Hellberg thread but I'll repost here

Don't see it as a huge deal that Hank isn't playing . If anything this is a good thing. Rest Hank up if need be, gonna need him for this stretch.

Also I saw this point made on Twitter, but we'll see just how bad the defense is tonight when Hank doesn't cover their ass. Capitals will make them pay big time.

He didn't go back to the crease or to go get his stick. He got up and was crouched over. ANY OTHER goaltender in the league would have gotten a whistle.

Also, during the same sequence, a Ranger was tripped at the blue line.

Last nights game doesn't bother me it happens especially with the reputation the Pens have they just get the leeway. Just don't lose to the caps. I don't want to see Richards or Willams have a good game at all screw those dudes
