why cant we just for the love of god start losing in regulation.

If any team should know how having a higher pick can change the fate of your franchise it should be us.

should have sat mase out for the year.

There will be plenty of those on the road and a top 10 pick at the end. The Flyers have been good at home all season but people still act surprised and upset when they pick up points at home. It's so boring.

If they sit Mase they should sit G and Voracek too. Change the name to the Philadelphia Tankers.

Would have been great for G to get that shot in the top corner with a minute left.

Didn't some team do that with someone in the stands once?

It has happened a few times. In the salary cap era, there is different terminology. The Caps had a video guy for instance. A few years ago, the Flyers' equipment man dressed as a goalie when either Ken Wregget or Pete Peeters was injured in warmups.

This team is just a roller coaster of emotions for me. Happy about the trades the last few days then this. Not a win, not a loss. Just a stupid useless point. I'm sure I'll continue to be Bi-polar every other day with this team for the rest of the year.

Oh and now Chip Kelly does this. I can't keep track who keeps coming in and out of Philly .

Yes, it was. He played for the Philadelphia Firebirds in a now defunct league.

Found some info...he looks like Stiffler in the pic

^ Stiffler never played for the Maine Mariners. :sarcasm:

One interesting story from the early days, when the team needed a backup goalie in Los Angeles, they got a staff member from the Canadian consulate to dress and was the reserve for the full game.

Gary Dornhoefer was a goalie in his youth days. I seem to recall he was wearing goalie pads in a game when a goalie named Smokey McLeod (who wore 24 for the Flyers) got hurt and no backup was available.
