Hey...let us know how "being big" plays out for you in a few years. Never really served the Flyers much luck.

Oilers adding those players will make them play comfortably and you won't push them around. Love what the Hawks did too knowing they won't beat the Kings as is so they add Weise,Ladd,Fleichman who are bigger bodies and play like it when it gets to be along the walls in the playoffs.

I don't buy it.

And no offense, even mentioning the Blackhawks in the same sentence as the Oilers makes me chuckle.

Citing Chicago as a physical team is... bizarre to say the least.

There are far smaller and far less physical than this incarnation of the Flyers. They have been consistently one of the smaller teams in the league the last few years... yet have never struggled against big bad L.A., St. Louis and Anaheim.

Citing Tomas Fleishmann as a physical player as well... he is arguably less physical than every single forward on our team.

Thinking of Gagner's 8 point night against the Blackhawks always makes me happy. Because there's no "well he did it against the worst team in the league". He did it against a 3 time Stanley Cup winning team

Is it me, or have we had a ridiculous amount of man games lost to head shots in which the player that hit them received absolutely no punishment.

Rinaldo on Coots
Subban on Giroux

Those are the two I remember.

Now Schenn's body slam to the ice?

I was kind of surprised he actually came back into the game, after falling to the ice like that without his helmet.
He shouldn't have. But obviously the Flyers still don't care much about concussion protocol.

Schenn getting slammed to the ice like that was uncalled for, especially in a league where they"re "trying" to limit the amount of head injuries, hand out a suspension a 10 game, just irresponsible if nothing is done at all, which is the most likely outcome, I don't care what team a player is playing for something like that is so dangerous, and needs to be dealt with the proper way, the league should really be taking stuff like that serious

i cant wait for the first goal on Mason and the gnashing of teeth will be right back

something that was oddly quiet when Neuvy allowed goals.

fwiw im glad to see Mase back in... well thats assuming #Hakslogic doesnt still put Neuvy backin again vs. Columbus

If that happens, it has two possible stories. One, is that Mason is still hurt and we don't know it. Or two, that Hakstol is too stubborn and like Neuvy more, even though he's been doing worse of late.

I've been of the mind that we aren't making the playoffs since their last stretch of losses (which was around the time they lost against the Pens IIRC).

Regardless of that though, we suck against the BJ's.

Ten years later, this will be my first live game in Philadelphia. Pretty damn excited. Where should we drink?
