Many people have said something similar. The Flyers had a chance to win Game 5 without Lindros and clinch the series but they came up ugly and flat. Lindros came back for Game 6 and by a fraction of a second had a goal nullified at the end of the second period. That counts and the Flyers win, the horror of game 7 would never have occurred. If the Flyers held out an available Lindros for games 6 and/or 7, considering they gave away the franchise, loosely speaking, to acquire him, the team would have been vilified for losing two or three games with Lindros available. Tough call, even in retrospect, but that whole post-season was a soap opera highlighted by the coaching situation with Roger Neilson's health.

As a fan, I was glad 88 came back. Then I realized the rest of team seemed to think he'd be the savior. I agree it was a tough call.
