I'd assume, Lee, is going to be Sid's RW.

These guys are in waves well in the back, will they catch up with the team? Yes.

Kunitz, Crosby, Gibbons
Jokinen, Malkin, Neal
Pyatt, Sutter, Stempniak
Glass, Goc, Adams

i should have gone to this game. oh well.

here's a story to make up for that:

i know this guy who is a huge Sharks fan who used to work in the hotel industry. as you would imagine he'd get insane deals, so naturally he would follow the Sharks around on some of their road trips. he went to a game at the Igloo and Iceburgh comes up to him:

Iceburgh: Are you really from San Jose?
J...: yes.
Iceburgh: do you ever see Sharkie?
J...: from time to time.
Iceburgh: tell him thanks for coming to my wedding.

turns out Sharkie and Iceburgh (at least whoever was wearing the suit in the mid 90s) were good friends.

later my buddy did track down Sharkie and confirmed that he was at Iceburgh's wedding.

Goc and Stempniak to play in this one?

There's no reason they both can't be in San Jose by tomorrow. The only reason they'd have to hold them out would be to get them a 'real' practice first, but in a B2B situation that's not going to happen, especially not with a cross-country flight and a home-and-home series with Washington coming right after that.

Kobasew got sent down to WBS thankfully. He won't be in the line up.

He got waived and managed to be in the lineup.

I'll admit, I just used Fredericks lineup from the last game. That's much easier than waiting last minute.

Thanks. Frederick.:thumbu:

I'll post up the actual lineups tomorrow. Maybe.

Or Gladams, or Glass with Crosby... The more things change the more they stay the same.

hopefully Goc and Stempniak mean fewer 4th-line double shifts and more two-headed monster double-shifts. I think/hope that's what they meant. There's no point in double shifting them with the 4th line. It isn't dangerous, it just neutralizes Gladams' ineptitude for 45 seconds.

Wow, that's a fantastic GDT, well done.

Doubting I'll be able to make it through this one, but I'm looking forward to seeing how Goc and Stempniak help improve our depth.

Awesome GDT!

Not placing much on their first appearance, particularly without a couple of practices, but still interested to watch Stemp and Goc play.

Not to single you out, but why are so many people enamored with Gibbons? He's an AHL midget.

This. Gibbons should be back in the AHL or 3rd line after these deadline moves. Put Stemp with Sid and Megna /Gibbonswith Sutter and Goc.

He's not in my healthy lineup. I just want to get that. 3rd line used to each other.

I want the 3rd line to gain some chemistry. When Beau comes back, just kick Gibbons out of the lineup and replace him with Bennett. We need that 3rd line to work well together.

Fair enough. I just shake my head when people try to make him out as some established NHLer that's worthy of playing with Crosby in the playoffs.

Gibbons draws penalties at a healthy clip which is pretty powerful considering the PP is going well.

Which will make him absolutely worthless in the playoffs when the refs put the whistles away.
