THIS DATE IN FLYERS' HISTORY: February 26, 1997

th

The Legion of Doom Line of Eric Lindros (1-6-7), Mikael Renberg (2-3-5) and John LeClair (3-1-4) combined for 16 points (6-10-16) in the Flyers' 8-5 win at Ottawa. Lindros' career-high seven points was the second highest total in team history (Tom Bladon had eight in 1977) and his six assists set a team record. It was the second time this month (also February 6 vs. Montreal) that the trio established a team-record for most points by one line with 16. The line was a combined +15 with Renberg a +6. LeClair's 40th goal completed his hat trick with 59 seconds left.

During practice today Lecavalier replaced Couturier on the 2nd line.... that's a horrifying thought.

Don't know where Couturier was either, injured or what.

If Couts has any sort of injury we are done. Giroux will be playing 27 minutes a night against other teams top lines while Vinny L will be sucking up the #2 center spot.

Probably a maintenance day though.

What are the chances Zepp starts???

More than likely.

Stolarz was probably on emergency recall since three roster players (mandatory allowed) were scratched last night (Colaiacovo, Luke Schenn and Lecavalier. Emery was the fourth, allowed if replaced by an emergency recall).

Emery, from what was reported, didn't make the trip.

Mason doesn't seem quite ready. Saturday has been indicated for him.

We'll lose and JVR will get a hat trick to shove it down our throats.

As Craig Button said about teams like the Flyers... If you can't beat the teams below you then you are just prentenders.

If anyone is going to game, the place to eat before hand is Wahlburgers (about 10 min walk from Air Canada Center)

Zepp vs Bernier, same lineup expected for Philadelphia. Zach Sill (acquired by Leafs yesterday for Winnik) will play tonight and wear #22

Had no idea they got Sill. To be honest I have no idea why anyone would want Sill.

Sill is good, especially pickled and flavoured with mustard or the soused version. A must have on the traditional midsummer table :)

Sill is Swedish for herring.

My buddy's co-worker knows Reggie Leech, so him and his son get to meet the team beforehand. He gave the guy his jersey to get signed, and told me about it, but it was too late, so I couldn't get him a jersey in time (jerkface)

Marky Mark's place? I'd like to smack that little punk in the face with one of his brother's cheeseburgers then punch him in the throat.

That's how tough I am on the internet. Seriously though he is a little punk.
