That's exactly why I'm very skeptical about Darling. They tend to make their goalies look better than they really are.

This, and I also have a feeling that Mason bounces back next season if he is the undisputed #1. He was tremendous in December when Neuvirth first went down. Then Hakstok decided to run him into the ground by starting him in 25 of 27 of something like that, despite Stolarz winning both of his starts.

Darling is 6'6" & can move. Him & Emery aren't really comparable from a physical/skill set standpoint.

I'd be up for taking a risk on him on a short term deal but I think he may get a 3 or 4 year deal from someone. Mason would be easier to sign short-term.
