Post Giroux area! I see 5 players who are even a tad bit interesting. Farabee, Konecny, Hart, Sanheim, York. Next season we have Couts back. Every other player is meh to me. They will trade Konecny and Frost. They will trade one of Provorov/Sanheim. They will get more veterans like Petry or other over the hill shit.

Even if all goes well in the offseason and ellis plays 60 games next year this team isnt watchable for me. The playing style, the usage of players, Ristolainen on its own, the PP without G and Ghost. I could go on and on! The flyers were the best thing happened to me the last 15 years. Now the flyers dont exist anymore.

Even when they are a (barely) playoff team next season, i will not watch this shit.
All guys hoping for playoffs next year i can only laugh about. We maybe win 1 round and the year after 1 round. After that Ellis, Cevin will be old as shit and slow as shit. But eating a lot of money. Same with Ristolainen. This franchise is f***ed likely for 5 years. And a few guys are hoping for playoffs next year! How short sighted can someone be?

All happened in the last 3 years is insanity and it will get a lot worse from now on. No Giroux who can outperform most failures by the franchise!

Just as a reminder, this was our roster in 2018 AND we had the 2nd rated prospect group in the league. It's crazy that we were unable to made just a few moves to make this team better and build on it.

Claude Giroux - Sean Couturier - Travis Konecny
Oskar Lindblom - Nolan Patrick - Jakub Voracek
JVR - Laughton Wayne Simmonds
Raffl - Jori Lehterä - Nicolas Aube-Kubel
Weise, Weal

Pairings
Ivan Provorov - Ghost
Travis Sanheim - Radko Gudas
Hagg - Folin
AMac

Elliott - Neuvirth

NAK didn't play that year and Sanheim-Gudas was the third pair under Hakstol, but yeah...how Fletcher gets a free pass is beyond me. The roster is worse and the future is not nearly as bright. That's like the bare minimum requirement for keeping your job. Is the roster better than the one you took over?

Not totally true. NAK played 9 games from Oct30-Nov 17. But I just grabbed a random GDT before Hextall was fired to see who we had on the roster. But even without him, Weise was still a serviceable NHLer as opposed to the slop we have trotted out under Fletch.

The fact that so many die hard fans now HATE what this team has become speaks volumes. Too bad it falls on deaf ears.

It is sad and and so frustrating that I live ten minutes from the Canadian Tire Center and have no desire to go to this game whatsoever.
Oh well maybe next year I can go and see G here whoever he plays for and go to see the Flyers if they have a decent team.
Could be G plays for the Sens next year if they want him.

I don't think those two goalies were healthy at the same time much in 2018.

Jimmy Stewart.......Mr. Smith Goes To Washington.....loved Jean Arthur, Thomas Mitchell as the alcoholic reporter and HB Warner as the Speaker of the House......oh yeah Claude Rains as the corrupt Senator

Thought of this Alice Cooper song instead:

Into the night we with fear and trembling ask will the 'morrow bring peace and harmony........

Which shows the value of those lists. And it wasn't due to development since most of the "flops," flopped before they got to LHV.
Ghost got hurt and was never the same, Patrick got his brains scrambled, Simmonds was breaking down.
But where were the reinforcements from that prospect group, 4 years later, Farabee, Hart and little else.

2018 list (Charlie and Appleyard):
1. Hart
2. Myers (#6 D-man on Nashville)
2. Frost (still auditioning for the top 9)
4. Farabee
5. Lindblom (on the 2017-18 team)
6. Allison (permanent residence on IR)
7. JOB (still in college)
8. Ratcliffe (AHL, outside shot at 4LW next season)
9. Vorobyev (KHL until he's drafted)
10. Morin (walking wounded)
11. Laczynski (keeping Allison company)
11. Rubtsov (can we say "flop')
13. NAK (12th forward on the Avs)
14. Sandstrom (AHL)
15. Hogberg (AHL)
16. Friedman (7th D-man on the Pens)
17. Strome (AHL)
18. Lycksell (SHL)
19. Bernhardt (never signed)
20. Ustimenko (AHL)
