This game highlights why it's nonsense to pretend that old-bad players like Scandella and Kyle add to the team because they take tough minutes, and that we'd fold without that happening. Didn't the broadcast say we didn't allow a slot shot attempt in the first period? Or at least, allow it to get on goal? We shut down the best goal scorer of this time, a guy with 2 PPG+ centers, a team with lots of offense besides those two, and we didn't get hemmed in all day and barraged with shots doing so like what happens with our "defensive defenseman." He just sucks, and we're better when he's not playing.

We'd see the same shit with Vlad if we ever stopped using him like he's Patrice Bergeron.
