This is the "pause that refreshes," a break in the schedule that will leave them rested between games, and allow AV to actually have 2-3 practices a week and work on adjustments.

Not going to lie, watching Lemmy ride a motorcycle through someone's living room walls just cranked my day up a notch.

My Dad was a roadie in his late teens and early 20s for a band who supported Motorhead a couple of times and recorded an album at the same studios Motorhead used... would have been mid-late 80s.

My Dad said Lemmy was one of the nicest men he ever met. Big rockstar yet so down to earth, still helped the roadies with gear, drove the van, never put himself above anyone, bought drinks for all the crew all the time, if he met you once he would remember and make "you" feel like the special one when next met.

Though my Dad did almost kill him once... reversing a van blind down an alley when heard a "whooooa" and slammed on the breaks, as Lemmy had just stepped out of the side-door of the building almost right into the van. My Dad was shitting himself and Lemmy just said basically no harm no foul, lets go for a drink.

Dad also got to have a drink with Terry Hall of the Specials around the same time.

I've always heard great things about him as well; on the day of shows in Portland, he'd usually be found drinking Jack in a bar called Mary's beforehand and seems like a lot of ppl knew about it.
Apparently always just a super cool guy and friendly to everyone who stepped up to say hello.

I haven't seen The Specials since '98 or so but never caught them hanging out.

He said Terry Hall was remarkably quiet and very sarcastic... but really nice too.

Do you mean Portland Oregon, and the strip club Mary’s?
