Huh. That's an odd line. Would have thought Datsyuk would center this. Guess they need him at wing what with Franzen.

I'm hoping they shake up the lines some tonight. Put Geno back at center, split up Kunitz and Crosby, do something to see if you can get them to pick up their ES games. Maybe go Dupuis-Crosby-Hornqvist and Kunitz-Malkin-Comeau as the top-6?

Hopefully tonight its

?- Crosby - Hornqvist

Kunitz - Malkin - ?

I'd be fine with this, though Spaling has historically done better at C and LW over RW.

Dupuis - Crosby - Hornqvist

Kunitz - Malkin - Spaling

Comeau - Sutter - Downie

Sill - Goc - Adams

i highly doubt there will be any major lineup changes in a back to back. you should not be expecting anything

After last night's performance, I don't see why not.

i guess it depends on what they're doing instead of the morning skate. his postgame sounded like they wanted to focus on execution and i don't think they'll want to shuffle every line on the fly in a back to back. he did also say that up until last night he liked the sutter-malkin line. maybe that means he's over it now.

Good gdt. Looking forward to seeing how Greiss looks. As far as the top 6 goes, I'd keep K-C-H intact and try Comeau-Malkin-Downie as the second line. Both are the type of player that Malkin plays well with (like Talbot), and both have had top-6 level production at some point in the past. They also both seem really hungry. It's far from ideal but I don't see the harm in trying it out this early in the season. Maybe they have great chemistry. You never know.
