Why does couts continue to try and dangle when he's one on three?

And he stops moving his feet every time so even if it works hes going nowhere.

You guys are his fan boys... please explain to me why he does this every game.

Im beyond sick of it. Dump the puck in *******

And then people would ***** about him dumping the puck.

Still a better defensive effort than the one showed tonight.

Just simple things Berube is ****ing up. Over playing Zac, benching Akeson, refusing to play Streit / Amac. Not splitting up Luke MDZ. Trying Brayden for 1 game as LW. Not letting Akeson run second PP, then nothing changes with scheme as he takes the G role. Not benching Umberger yet.

Not when hes shorthanded and outnumbered they wouldnt.

Well on this board they might. But they shouldnt, put it that way

Two years ago when he had complete crap for linemates and would just dump it in since passing was a waste of time, I remember the Couturier critics bashing him for it. The guy just can't win with a lot of people.

Because he is a possession player.

To both those posts, tbh.

EDIT: To elaborate-- the mark of a good possession player is not stickhandling into the zone on a one on three. Not that Couturier actually does that with enough regularity to be criticized for it.

Because he is 21 and has not scored 100 points yet! TRADE HIM NOW! DEFENSIVE PLAY IS OVERRATED (flyers defense agrees with this)!!!

he isnt hating, he is just pointing out a fact. everything he said was true.

I don't think so. Couts usually takes the dump in, can't remember many times that he tries to stick handle when he shouldn't. I mean, there was once this game, but I don't think it's a recurring problem.

Couturier haters are silly. Really silly.

Dont hate couturier at all. (dont like how overrated he is here but thats a different topic)

I just get frustrated with how often he turns the puck over. Supposed to be a shutdown guy, you cant have senseless turnovers. Its simple
