In a ferocious, physical, high-scoring game, the Flyers went 5-for-7 on the powerplay and never trailed in an 8-7 home win vs. Montreal. Rod Brind'Amour (2-2-4) and Yves Racine (0-4-4) both had four points and Brent Fedyk and Eric Lindros each scored twice. A brawl erupted in the second period between Lindros and Montreal's Eric Desjardins, who was ejected, and among the penalties was Patrick Roy for slashing and leaving the crease. Roy left the game at 30:05 having yielded six goals on 18 shots but it was Ron Tugnutt who was charged with the defeat (two goals on 12 shots). Dominic Roussel went the distance for the Flyers. Dave Brown was tossed and eventually suspended one game (third game misconduct of the season) after a first period fight with Lyle Odelein. Midway in the third period, Odelein was ejected for a 5-minute major (checking Recchi) with the Flyers ahead 7-5. John LeClair had three points for the Canadiens.

Looking forward to finally seeing a game in Philly! Not sure how well my gold jersey will be received...surely the Preds aren't relevant enough to Flyers fans to receive that much hatred, right? :laugh:

Nashville = Gold.

I went to the Devils game in December and didn't see anyone getting grief for their NJ sweaters, so I really doubt a Preds jersey will be a problem.

Per david Isaac, we could be seeing Giroux and Voracek split up. Both are wearing different jerseys. He thinks 12-28-17 on one line and everyone will love this, 24-14-93 on the second

God damn it, Rinaldo is back in

I don't know how I feel about this. 12-28-93 were looking like they were about to get their game back on track, and 24-14-17 have been the best line the past few games.

On the other hand, it might be time for a change, and the Couts + Jake combo has looked good in the past.

Edit: I was actually excited about VL being out for a second, and then you had to go and let me down... This team won't let me be happy.

Well, this is going to tell us a lot about Couts. He has the best possible winger by his side. Now Berube better keep them together longer than a few shifts.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I was thinking the same thing! Hopefully Rinaldo on the PK gets a couple of Shea shots whizzing by him. ;)
