Every Flyers lineup ends up being radically changed by the end of the 1st period so who knows what it'll actually be.

*Evolving-Hockey hasn't updated since the 16th, I assume because of the holiday. So these are actually mildly useless. You are welcome for the uselessly information.

the Players Union should investigate how many have been injured during/with all these .....

back to - travel - back games with no real REST between games :teach2:

Flyers have had 10 pairs of back/travel/back games already .

With abnormal stretches off especially around the All Star game ..... :dunno:

Get back to divisional rivalries and a lot less travel !

Yeah, I'd like to see more division games, how many people actually want to see a "star" once a season in a game with little emotional context v seeing a hated rival?

Sports research in general finds short rest/fatigue can cause more injuries, but I don't believe it happens much with skaters. This is very unscientific but I once looked at Flyers goalies and goalies on other teams who got injured and missed time, and it was uncanny how often it happened immediately or shortly after a "3 games in 4 days" stretch where there wasn't a break after.

Do you happen to recall WHY you looked into that?

Completely disagree. Would much rather see McDavid than an extra 2 games vs the Devils. Edmonton fans have got to be jonesing to see Seeler.
The larger issue is the amount of times that they play the other EC division.

The Flyers play a team like the Sabres as many times as they play the Penguins this year (3). Now how does that make sense in a league that has altered their playoff format to promote RIVALRIESSSSSS?

That's where the adjustment needs to be made.
