Didn't Monty call Val a checking forward now or something like that? Shouldn't this be prime time for him

He’s actually decent at that. He just looks like a deer on skates in the offensive zone.

Ritchie, Guri and Spezza get shutdown with 5 minutes left. So the new line is Nuke, Cogs and Hintz.

That's fine.

I wonder how many teams at the deadline will want Hintz or Gurianov in any trades Nill tries to make

If its for a rental i'm not giving those two anywhere. Picks , prospects in junior or minor league or more expandebale roster players sure . Those two look like good roster players who should play every game.

Seems like Monty is finally somewhat happy with the lines . We rolled 4 lines again without changes outside the last minute or two. Thats a very good sign.

It's so nice to not see completely different line combos every period. Incredible we've made it 3 straight games with the same lines (other than the Dickinson injury forcing Val in)

Hopefully with some time, it will allow offense to begin to flow. Passes did seem a bit better tonight, although that’s just qualitative.

Hopefully Monty sticks with it.

Yeah it's very clear some chemistry is actually starting to form between these lines and it's nice to see. Our passing right now is probably the best it's been all season long

Gury-Seguin-Rads
Benn-Faksa- (player x)

All of a sudden we have a nice top 6.

Edit: player x would be a player Nill would acquire

I think line consistency is directly related to an improved passing game. Too often they are forgetting the handedness of their linemates because they're just not used to playing with them.
