There must be a rematch between Penguins Capitals this year. I don't care how it has to go down to get to where it happens, but it must happen. I don't feel like it would be a proper playoffs without it.

I don't know much about the guy, other than the fact that he's Latvian and he's been in our system for a while now. Can anyone give the skinny on what type of player we might expect to see, or a comparable NHL player?

All-around 2-way hockey player. Competes extremely hard and can fly. Hands are pretty good at AHL level, we'll see if they can translate.

Wow, Kucherov is on pace for 130 points. That's ridiculous, seems like individual scoring s up in the league this year but he's killing it. I feel like we've been saying this for 5 years, but man is this TB team stacked. Makes me wonder what they are missing to get them over the hump, they just seem too deep to constantly fall short like they do every year.

Extremely high IQ at both ends, can play in all situations... creative and sneaky, will make his linemates better and set up surreal dishes...
Very high compete level and also a very good pk guy.
Basically an ideal third line pivot if everything translates.
I’m quite confident in him not only because of his talent, but he’s a lot like Crosby in his tireless effort to get better. Heard over and over he’s extremely intense and refuses to let others outwork him off the ice.

My expectations are low, not because of his ability, but I am not sure if Sullivan will bury him or give him legit opportunities.
He seems like a Sully wet dream type, but can’t rule out anything.

That's why I feel it was insane for us to go back to back. That team would just be happy with ONE right now. And they definitely have the tools to get one. And it just hasn't happened. I would say Tampa is going to be the most nervous fan base come April.

Pens will show up just because they know they'll get embarrassed otherwise. Kind of like that 3-0 win over Toronto when they were lighting the world on fire and Pittsburgh was looking terrible. It'll be lifeless mistake filled hockey as usual right afterwards though.
