They'll probably lose by a lot in most games.
Without any 2002 players (including Stützle, Peterka and Reichel) as well as Seider and to a lesser extent Kinder and Pasanen there is not a lot of quality left.

Ancicka is a good goalie, on defense Gnyp is solid and among the forwards I like Varejcka and Schumacher.
It will be really interesting how they and everyone else will do against this kind of competition, because some of them will have to hold their own at next year's WJC.

This is very surprising since the Swiss 01 age group is considered very weak. Did Sweden miss a lot of players?

Yes, the 01-group in Sweden also generally sucks at this level. This is likely the worst 01-National team ever put on skates.

Missing:
G: Alnefeldt
D: Broberg, Söderström, (Björnfot in AHL)
F/C: Henriksson, Gunler

And all the 02's of course. No underagers at this tourney. The 01 National team has through all its history basically not won any games without underagers. Comparing to the team that played well at home at the U18 WJC (and won it all with some luck), half the team is missing give or take. And it's the half that made the difference of course.

The next WJC-team will be at least 50% underagers. Nothing new, this has been the base case for a long time.

But a loss to SUI always hurts....

Well, losing to Swiss and Germany in the same tournament is not by chance. Hockey will be on decline in Sweden, too expansive and we have lots of demographics changes. In 20 years Sweden will be on the level of Norway in Hockey. Its sad. We been a power in hockey for such a long time, just sad to turn into shit. But it will not effect hockey-world too much, Germany, Swiss will just get better.
