Kotkaniemi is playing with a higher age group. He's the only 2018 draft eligible for Finland that I think is likely to be a 1st rounder as of now.

Can anyone tell me more about the finnish team? Who are some guys to watch, except for Ikonen, Luukkonen and the 00's? Are any of the other guys legit prospects for the draft?

From my point of view the most interesting prospects on this team are:

#10 Jesperi Kotkaniemi
#1 Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
#24 Joni Ikonen
#21 Otto Latvala
#12 Jesse Koskenkorva

Toni Utunen is an 00' but he's probably not much of a draft prospect; average vision, average puck skills, not an elite skater, not particularly big for a defenseman...

Missing guys like Vesalainen, Heiskanen, Tolvanen, Vaakanainen, Jokiharju, Heponiemi, Räsänen, Virtanen, Nyman, Ylönen, Pajuniemi, Moilanen and Vesterinen is a big blow for this team as they are some of the top Finns in this age group.

USA up 4-1 on Finland. Quinton Hughes has been a standout for me. Logan Cockerill is looking good too. Joni Ikonen is getting a lot of icetime for Finland and has an assist.

Clear 8-1 victory for the US. Finland never really stood a chance, despite getting a lot of PP's.

Swedish 99' forwards seem to not have enough killer instinct, gotta score on all those chances..

Terrible meltdown by the czechs... can't lose lead like that.

We had a 3: 0, but played really badly. We could not hold the puck, the Swedes were better in all aspects. Strangely best we played after leveling at 3: 3.
There are a few absences, which showed more than I thought. But even so, this team had to play a lot better.
