I don't want to see Bunnaman again. We know he doesn't add anything. And someone needs to push Braun out of all those minutes. He does absolutely nothing right with the puck. He's fine defensively and can chip it out or make a simple pass, but he has no hands or brain past his own blue line.

should be able to win this one if forwards help out on D and we do some of the things we did in last game against the Sabres, forecheck, skate well no dumb penalties. Bruins have scoring issues, obviously without Pastranak and learnign to live without some of the D core.

Cannot wait to see Braun's point shots and some of the give aways from 3rd d paring. Still we have depth and goaltending as well as scoring. Best players should lead by example.

Edit: I already worried about our PP.

I’m curious to who will take Frosts and Myers spot if necessary: Friedman / Laczynski/Bunnaman

The taxi squad guys are all guys with NHL experience who can come in for a game or two.
Once the AHL starts up, guys like Laczynski need to play on a regular basis, and if there's a long-term injury, be ready to step in.

I dont think taxi squad matters "that" much in terms of who is there and who is next up to Flyers. As ofc there are other considerations for who is on it.

BUT yeh. Laczynski and Allison are basically not going to be up unless going to slot in on a line for a few games. And right now not sure either are even fully healthy.

In case anyone wants to read at least one account of the virus protocol, a writer at the Tampa Bay Times has the following. The rules were posted in the PGT vs. Buffalo last night (Jan. 19).

What does it mean when a player goes on the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol list? (tampabay.com)

According to league protocols, any player who receives an initial positive result must immediately self-isolate and the team must begin contact tracing. If a second test on the initial one comes back positive, the player’s test is confirmed positive and the player must continue isolating. But even if a player’s second test is negative, he still must test negative for two more consecutive days to exit the protocol.

Any player who exhibits coronavirus symptoms must see a team physician and the club’s infectious disease consultant to determine the next steps, but further testing isn’t necessarily mandatory. If a player is a close contact of someone who received a confirmed positive test, he must enter the protocol.

To exit the protocol, a player must exhibit no symptoms and produce two negative tests over 48 hours.

So given that Ghost is out under the COVID protocol, is it safe to assume that he has not, in fact, tested negative twice over 48 hours AND shown no symptoms?

If he does have COVID, I'm just amazed that no one else on the team has tested positive. That's impressive.

I don't think it is wise to assume anything. It would be just speculation. The NHL is being coy in the most likely of reasons to be responsive to players privacy. The recent roster move was to get a F on the active roster. Otherwise, if Couturier went uninjured,. Ghost would still be part of the 23-man roster...probably. My guess is your first paragraph is closer to actuality than not.
