Put Kucherov/Point and McDonagh/Cernak back together, please. We need their magic to make a deep run. That said, I was very pleased with the way in which Hagel/Paul/Colton appeared to mesh in game 2. If they can even partially fill the void of Coleman/Gourde/Goodrow and provide a shut-down and tempo setting line, we will be in great shape.

I wish we had a Coburn type bottom pairing guy so we could load up the top 4 with Hedman/Sergachev and McDonagh/Cernak. Sergachev looked really good up there on the right side of Hedman in the regular season.

Any combination of Foote/Rutta/Bogo on the ice together though... no thanks.

A solid win tonight should really get Toronto feeling the ghosts of playoff's past.. Let's get that W and stay healthy!

This one feels must win. Though leaving the first 4 tied at 2-2, I'd still favor us without home ice.

Foote is playing real solid tho
He just stepped in so well, if he continues like this I think most of us will change opninion on him. He is playing really, really well. After 2 games I dont remember than I even shouted once "WTF Foote?!" I did shout those words on all other Dmans xD

Leafs bring in Holl and Spezza for Liljegren and simmonds

I think the Leafs are making a media-driven mistake. The narrative in toronto right now is ALL about penalties. I'm kind of expecting them to play us soft as an over-correction. And letting us bully you is a death sentence.

To me, the big reason for optimism is we are gonna a get our match ups. The Matthews line is the one killing us 5v5, but nobody else on their team has done much. I'm hoping Cirelli/Point can make their lives miserable, and then we match up better down the line up.
