These games are basically about two things:
1) the kids keep improving
2) the veterans maintaining their trade value.

Couldn't give two figs about the 4th line, they're neither fungible assets (ok, maybe a late rd pick for Brown or MacEwen, heck, Hagg garnered a 6th last TDL) or the future.

But Hayes, JVR, Laughton, Provorov, TDA could have trade value. If Risto keeps improving, moving him won't be as hard in a year or two.
So veterans playing well helps the rebuild.

You damn well should give two figs about the fourth line. You have wrote countless paragraphs beating the drum for the “revolving door” from LHV but what do you know that hasn’t happened so it’s time to defend the franchise.

You were proven to be wrong about how this franchise operates again. After all of the stuff you said you should be pissed with what is happening here with the fourth line.

The idea that the fourth line is “set” is pathetic team management. Once again the only way that youth made the team was through injuries and necessity and not out of any type of plan. This should piss you off but instead it’s defended, absolved, and minimized.

All too predictable.

Skip the “like who?!” response, please. The answer to that question is ANYONE over Deslauriers, MacEwen, and Brown for a team that is looking to the future.

Amazing how you've gone from an entire offseason offering a revolving door on the 4th line featuring basically every prospect imaginable, to claiming such a thing is impossible because they'd have to play with someone had (and yet this somehow isn't a blockage), to no longer caring because they're fungible.

If they are fungible then they should be revolving them in, right? This shouldn't be set in stone? You were wrong about Fletcher, wrong about Tortorella.

Just a reminder that this team is not rebuilding.
