Sometimes when you get out of a lull it’s not the prettiest.
There wasn’t a lot of tape-to-tape, which we always prefer, but we hung in and competed and were able to get the job done.
There are going to be times during the year when you’re not firing on all cylinders.
To be able to win this type of game adds to the team’s confidence level that we can get it done.

I wouldn’t necessarily say we shut them down. They had a couple of good looks. I like the way we battled tonight.
We weren’t crisp the whole night but we found a way to win and that’s what this game is all about.
After being 0-0 in the first period, we struggled a little bit to move the puck in the second. We finally scored a goal, got a second one.
I thought our second period was strong. Third period, back to back nights, three in four days, we did what we had to do.
And when we weren’t where we were supposed to be, our goalie was.
