Best D Braun isn't part of the D scratch mix. It's Myers, Morin, and Ghost who are in danger of sitting.

Wanna look at some of BDB's 5v5 defensive stat rankings among our D over the past 10 games?

Worst Expected Goals Against per 60
Worst Shot Attempts Against per 60
Worst Shots Against per 60
Worst High Danger Shot Attempts Against per 60
Worst Scoring Chances Against per 60

So the process is currently not going well at all.

And if we want to look at results too...

Worst Goals Against per 60
Worst High Danger Goals Against per 60

Bernie Parent in his prime would look bad behind this team’s defense and schemes of play. It’s the coaching that’s killing them
That's letting the goaltenders off the hook. They have been dreadful. Letting in far too many easy shots, and failing to make enough difficult stops. Linus Ullmark has a .916 save percentage and a winning record for Buffalo, for F's sake. You can give the Flyers' D some of the blame, but the goalies deserve the brunt of it.

Remember last week or so when it was noted he shouldn't have been playing injured, but was, because the Flyers do that to members of the family?
It was a hand injury and nothing seemingly severe. The questionable aspect to that decision was scratching Raffl and then using him to replace Couturier, injured during warmups, rather than the other available player in Ghost. As stated by me then, the traditional 12/6 setup rather than what would have been 11/7wasn't a strong enough issue.

Flyers win 7 4 in dramatic fashion. After giving up a fourth goal to go down 4 nothing early in the second there's a mass Exodus of the coaching staff led by newly-signed Scott Laughton and Claude Giroux with lappy being the only one to survive. After Carter hart and big Sam escort the staff off the ice the flyers tie it up by the end of the period and go on in the third to score 3 more to take the win.

Highlighted and bolded, I assume this isn't a reference to the former NHL player.
Radek sticks out in my head not just for having his rookie card squirreled away somewhere in a basement, but seeing him as one of the Sens' players in the NBA Jam equivalent Open Ice -- goes to show how threadbare those nineties rosters were, even if Bonk did develop into a useful player eventually.

I feel like we say this every year now, but this team is so freaking unlikeable. From the GM to the HC to the assistant coaches to some of the usual rubbish on the roster. So freaking unlikeable.

At least with Hakstol it was just Hak and some plugs really. I liked Hextall despite Hak, didn't hate the assistant coaches quite as vehemently, and even with Hak I at least respected that he was a rookie HC and not some cookie-cutter recycled NHL trash.

Literally the only likeable components of this team are the small vet core we've wasted for years upon years and a few young players the coaches keep ****ing with.
