Forget about Point, there were were quite a few highly rated scoring forwards available at that time.

I can't see how we passed up on Macinnis, Donato & Karabacek in the 2nd round and Point in the 3rd for a Krys Barch clone.

My initial reactions to Jacobs and Chatham being drafted.

I didn't like either at the time.

One thing's for sure in that we'll likely have a MUCH better idea of where he's headed after a season with Sarnia.

People are pencilling him in the top pairing with Chychurn who is the top defenseman in next year's draft. Sarnia is also coached by Derian Hatcher who could probably teach Jacobs a thing or two.
