Remaldo is life. It's embarrassing that the Bruins have spelt his name wrong on his jersey. He's not even telling them, Grossmann style.

Flyers scheduling over December and January has been just so bizarre.

They will end up with: 10 two+ day breaks from November 29th to January 16th. 17 games in 48 days. 0.35 games per day.

Then: 8 two+ day breaks from January 16th to end of season. 40 games in 85 days. 0.47 games per day.

Basically playing every other day down the stretch... the season is 6 1/2 months long... but the Flyers play half the schedule in under 3 months!

I know that scheduling is hard and the schedule relaxes over that time for every team... but from the Rangers game onwards the Flyers have the most constricted schedule in the NHL I believe. There are going to be NHL teams ~5 games ahead on the schedule as we play the Rangers!

I guess the NHL is finally punishing them for always being towards the bottom in the league in miles traveled throughout the year :amazed:

I'm not sure that's a bad thing. IMO they seem to play better the more frequently they play.

Two days out but here's an update on Ghost:

Ghost did not take full practice and coach Dave Hakstol said it was undecided whether he would take full practice on Tuesday.

“I’m fine, it’s day-to-day and was good to get on the ice and take some shots on the goalies,” Gostisbehere said.

Asked whether he could return for Wednesday’s game against Boston, Ghost said, “Honestly, I have no idea. We still have a couple days until then. I’m sure we’ll learn more.”

Don't like these long breaks as we always seem to lose. A win in regulation would be huge here. If the team keeps playing like it did with ghost here we will make he playoffs.

I am 100% anti-tank but i almost want to lose this game so our coach can see that Umberger brings 0 to the table and give the new kid a damn chance!

I had a dream where the Bruins and Flyers were playing and Rinaldo skated as fast as he could, jumped, and annihilated Read against the boards.

Read fractured his ankle and a bone was sticking out.

Rinaldo skated around rink with his stick in the air and the Boston crowd was going crazy.

(serious).

Stay safe Read.

I hope Manning fights Rinaldo.

ManDog will probably slip during the fight, but hopefully he will at least get in one or two shots. The Flyers can say all they want to about concentrating on the game itself, etc, but I guarantee someone will try something with Zac.

It would be funny if he's scratched, but I hope that's not the case.

If they play Weal (I guess they aren't going to change the lineup until they lose?) would it definitely be Umberger that he replaces?

Though no two situations are truly similar, the head coach has made lineup changes after wins -- the weekend of the NJD/Columbus games for example, when he inserted White and Umberger for Cousins and Colin McDonald. That involved reassignments and activations rather than a simple change.

There hasn't been any indication that Weal will play and/or replace Umberger for tomorrow but the morning skate will likely be a better indicator.
