Thanks to the news this was just in the background, so the trade was actually for the best

Pens when healthy are a more talented team (whether they can hold up over 82 games with that geriatric roster remains to be seen). Flyers played hard, but were a half stride behind, and missed too many opportunities. Which is pretty much the norm, they lack the depth to hang with good teams and can't afford not to finish plays.
