Great development year for Klingberg and Shore. iirc we had them both ranked outside the top 10 last year and Klingberg was 17??

Klingberg gets the slight edge- really showed he could play with the big boys in the SHL last year.

I have to go with Shore here because like I said I view him and Dickinson as extremely close, but the same could be said about Shore and Klingberg, who I have next up. I would've had Klingberg higher if not for the latest injury.

I would have gone with Shore over Dickinson. Similar potential, but Shore is further along and doing as good against older players and with a team not as stacked with talent.

It's not like Dickinson wasn't playing against plenty of players who were older than him as well.

Oleksiak again. Dickinson was my 4th. Next I would probably go Nemeth... Nemeth or Shore.

1. Oleksiak
2. Campbell
3. Ritchie
4. Dickinson
5. Nemeth/Shore

Klingberg. Both Shore and Klingberg is good options at this spot. I personally regard Oleksiak a step below.

I think these polls get skewed by non-Dallas fans who only recognize our 1st round picks for the most part....hence Oleksiak will get ranked higher than he would if it were just a poll of the Dallas posters.

Pretty sure mods go through the voters and pick out the randoms who never post on Dallas boards.

The last few years mods have been discounting voters who either aren't Stars fans or who never post here. Hopefully that is still the case. I haven't been looking too closely at the voters, but these polls are supposed to represent what Stars fans think about our organization.

I'm not bothering to do that anymore. It used to be an issue when the board was smaller and the results could actually be skewed by interlopers/trolls. The vast majority of voters have been Stars fans so far.

There's been a big drop-off in participation between #3 and #4 so just making sure everyone saw this.
