Need this win if we are thinking about trying to take the SE, which is possible but only if we continue to win.

Don't question the mastermind!

Honestly, as sad as it is, I think I trust Garon more than Cedric. When is Lindback going to be ready?

We didn't get to see much of Cedric but he didn't really look all that great, seemed to always fall on his ass. On the other hand Garon doesn't look all that great of lately either.

So who does this team want to win in the Hurricanes-Capitals game tonight? Both teams are at 34 points.

Jets play the Islanders tonight as well. I imagine we want the Islanders since the only way to confidently secure a spot is to win the division.

This is why you never take +/- into consideration.

Crombeen is +6

Crombeen isn't awful, and has been a pretty good energy guy. This doesn't surprise me. The only hate you can peg on the guy is that his face seems to be a fist magnet. He's no slouch defensively.

Canes-Caps, doesn't really matter as long as they don't go into overtime. I'm thinking Caps are going to take that, Hurricanes played in Montreal last night.

I will be at this game tonight, so again I will not be on here tonight...just scouting our division rivals :naughty: , not that it will matter next season

Garon in net I think is a good idea. While he hasn't been stellar recently, the Panthers are known for, as we've seen in past games this season, putting tons of SOGs that are not quality efforts. If Garon gets faced with a lot of simple shots and makes a number of simple saves, I think it could bring his confidence up a bit.

Let's keep the wins against the Panthers coming...it seems the whole SE is slumping, and we've got our huge, embarassing slump out of the way already. So, with that in mind, let's make a playoff run!

Try to display Garon against a weak team the day before the deadline.

Ever been to Buffalo, Mathieu?

Mathieu Garon will be making his first start of the year against Florida.

The rest of the line-up is a little in question as coach Jon Cooper said he will decide after warm up whether to go with six or seven defensemen. If he chooses to go with six, expect Andrej Sustr to sit out despite a solid effort on Friday.

Big boy number. Maybe here to stay now that Coop's in charge?

I hope he's here to stay. He'll be a fan favorite in no time if he plays with any regularity.

I agree. There is a reason he wears the "C" in Syracuse, and it is LEADERSHIP. Give him a chance, and he will help the folks who started the season in Tampa play and understand Cooper's system. Congratz Mike and best of luck!

Battle of the basement!

Just a word of caution people...keep your playoff aspirations in check and enjoy the young guys playing.
