Egor Sharkolov???? on a serious note why does Nick paul not play center and kick Teirney or white over to the wings? he is the best faceoff man of the three ( maybe on the team), hard forechecker, very strong defensively... I dont get it he takes a draw and goes back to LW.

Play the young guys, let this yr be another learning example & let them fight through it & get some valuable experience & hopefully push for a playoff spot. Tierny fills in wherever needed to replace poor play or injuries, then trade him at the TDL along with Holden, J. Brown, Mete & Forsberg. Let Gus, JBD, Sanderson & Brannstrom finish the yr, but it's also likely they won't be able to move all of them so a couple could end up staying the entire yr. I imagine that one of if not both of L. Brown & Sokolov make the team out of camp, but Kelly also has a shot at a job.

If they acquire another C without moving Tierney, you gotta think it's White. His play at C hasn't been strong enough in the last two seasons.

Everybody has Pinto pencilled in as part of the NHL roster's C depth even if we acquire the elusive #1 or #2 C; wouldn't it be preferable for him to spend some time at the AHL level, at least until hopefully Tierney is traded at the deadline?

They need at least 2 forwards before the season starts.
There are only 12 forwards, including Pinto and L.Brown.
Pinto and L.Brown aren't sure things. We have to see Pinto without the first timer adrenaline rush and L.Brown might stay healthy enough to play 30 games if he doesn't drive DJ insane.
I'm not aware of anybody else who's close to making the NHL full time.
Ideally, we get two top-9ers at C & RW... and we won't want to buy them out a month into the season.

Sokolov will slot into 3RW by midseason I bet. He deserves the shot.
Batherson and Brown will be 1 and 2 RW, unless we pick someone up
