I really can't understand how Read was scratched instead of Umberger, or VandeVelde after the huge headshot he took in the previous game.

I came to Philly with my girlfriend to see this game. I'm a Habs fan, do you think I'll have trouble wearing my Habs stuff at the arena? We are seated in the lower bowl if that makes any difference. Thanks!

No, you'll be fine.

I've been to games against Carolina and NJ and there were tons of people wearing Canes and Devil jerseys.

Thank you! We aren't obnoxious fans, just wanted to be sure. Loving the city so far by the way.

the only positive i can think about this game is at least it isnt in the Habs arena..

god i despise watching the Flyers games in MTL... ugh...

Try doing it live when the Habs win. The last game I saw the Flyers lost 3-0. Not a single thing to cheer about. I do have to say that it was beautiful being there when the Legion of Doom ran roughshod over the Canadiens. I think Leclaire had a hat trick.

I'd be OK with Ghost having some games as a healthy scratch while the last weeks of Luke Schenn's Flyers career play out.

@davegissac has the D pairings in practice as:

MDZ-Gudas
Schultz-Streit
Medvedev-Schenn
Manning-Ghost

Maybe Hak has wised up and realizes he needs to get Manning-Ghost back out there. Let's hope so.

In keeping with the unpredictable I believe they will defeat the habs 3-1 in Overtime. Yes, 3-1.

Wouldnt read into it too much in a good way. Manning barley saw the ice the other night. Could mean him and Ghost are fighting for that 7th spot since it sounds like Hak is going 7D 11F again

Report is that they are keeping the

Jake G Simmer

Line going.

The upcoming games this month are tough. Unless they go on another run, playoffs look to be a long shot again.

"dumb n dumber.. return to stupidville"

coming to a arena near you...

What's awesome and satisfying on many levels is Manning will never ever be a part of this team in the future, when all the kids come up, make's me kinda wanna riverdance

jebus... just looked at the schedule for the month..

damn this could be a really ugly stretch so many good teams this month on the menu..

Yeah but the schedule down the stretch is pretty easy. So in true Flyers fashion, they will be eliminated from the playoffs by the end of January and then go on run at the end of the season and ruin their draft position. And everyone in the organization will talk about the wonderful momentum they have built for next season only to start out slow again.

The next two Flyers' games will also be shown on NBCSN and the calls will be made by the home crew (Jim Jackson, Keith Jones and Chris Therien).

They didn't start out slow this season.

Sorry they played 7 games this year going 4-2-1 before they lost the next 6 in the row and followed that up with only winning 3 of the next 9 before thanksgiving.

So what constitutes the start of a 82 game season in your opinion that spans 6 and half months: the 1st two weeks, the first month, the first month and a half. At 10 games the Flyers were 4-4-2, at 20 they were 6-9-5. I would say that's a slow start.
