[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

There's a lot of frustration, a lot of mind-racing as far as what you can do better and it's not a good situation to be in.
A lot of what-ifs. What if I did this? What if we made this play? That's when you get yourself in trouble. We're not playing with the right confidence.
We're not playing with the right demeanor that we need to.
- Ryan McDonagh

We just need to essentially build our confidence back up and start from scratch. There's no sense in beating it up anymore.
I know this group has good character. One of our best qualities as a group is that we're tough on ourselves.
We've got to loosen the grip a little bit and start building our team back up.
- Derek Stepan

At the end of the day right now, we have a few guys, not to say quite a few, a lot of our top players are having a hard time with their game.
It's my job as coach to help them find their game. It's as simple as that.
- Alain Vigneault

I have low expectations, but a win here would be big for morale going into the break. They're going to have a lot of time to think about whatever happens tonight.

I'm excited to see who will be the healthy scratch for the Rangers now that Oscar is back in....someone better take that wake up call to heart (Kreider? Hayes?)

Eh, I think AV realizes it's time to wake someone up and to wake the team up by scratching a real player (not to say Oscar isn't, but he is a rookie).
How about scratching someone who really deserves it, like Kreider or Hayes. Too bad we can't scratch anyone on defense, otherwise it would be Staal.

If AV scratches anyone but Hayes or Kreider he's an idiot.

Yea definitely one of them, what kills me is kredier has been teriible all year and continues to stay on the second line. He is completely invisible out there. He doesn't hit at at all. Not sure if he dosent cause he could be penalized or not. He needs a wake up call. Such a shame hes one of my favorite players and he can be such a game changer

It needs to be Kreider, he genuinely needs to sit now. He's making himself into a liability if he continues to not make use of his toolbox
