So a lack of engagement, focus, and not ready to attack...but the 1st periods (scored on 1st in 8 straight I think) have not been bad??? Coach speak at it's worst.

I'd love to know what he thinks those changes are that have made them better.

That's basically where I'm at with his statements. The guy just loves his defensive "system" and all the offense coming from the PP.

To be fair, defending better will naturally lead to better offense in theory.

We've been hemmed in a LOT in our own zone. Decreasing time hemmed in should lead to more time hemming our opponent in.

Works both ways IMO. Its a stat Ive always wanted, Ozone Time and Dzone time. They keep those stats, they just aren't available. IMO it tells the real story of a team.

There was a study that showed a very strong relationship between the two. I'll try to find it.

But, I do agree seeing the time would be nice.
