  • December 22, 2014 -- Jake Voracek scored the second fastest OT goal in Flyers' regular season history (10 seconds) and Rob Zepp became the oldest goalie to win his NHL debut since Hugh Lehman in 1926, in the Flyers' 4-3 OT win at Winnipeg. Zepp stopped all eight shots in the first four minutes but Matt Halischuk, his first goal since March 31, scored with his team's ninth shot. Zepp stopped 25 shots and perhaps none better than a terrific pad save with under 25 seconds left in the second period with the Flyers down 3-1. The Jets held a 26-13 shots advantage through 40 minutes and appeared energized while the Flyers were seemingly zapped of energy after an emotional comeback win the prior night in Toronto. However, the Flyers dominated the third period 3-0 in goals and 9-2 in shots. The GWG in OT came off the center ice faceoff and was the only shot in the extra session. Voracek and Vinnie Lecavalier combined for all four goals. Voracek (2-0-2) scored goals 59:24 apart including the opening minute of the game while Lecavalier (2-0-2) scored twice in just 10:40 of separation time. Love the song, the play Aces High and the Trooper in house at Jets games :handclap:

Please win Flyers !!!!

I prob sound like a broken record too, but look at that Jets Defense and then watch how they play. Your hatred for a Berube tommorow night will definietly peak !!!

It’s likely that backup Rob Zepp will make his NHL debut Sunday night in Winnipeg.

“I don’t know yet,” Berube said. “Ray won. I’ll think about it ... He would have liked a couple goals back but we stayed with it. He wins games.”

But Ray won... in a 7-4 win... that wasn't on Emery.

won my ass. he almost managed to lose but our offense wouldnt let him.

he was terrible...let in couple of pitiful soft goals. let in a easy goal 2 seconds after period ended...which would have been huge for leafs. kept losing control of puck, several times puck would dribble out in/and in front of crease...completely lost track of puck all night.

he was lucky as hell a couple more of those cheap rebounds didnt end up in the net. shaky as ****.

also his mobility is getting even worse as season progresses. worst goalie in the nhl.

I can't wait until Ray has a non-contact hip injury over this roadtrip due to too many repeated starts because Berube is too desperate to play the guy with "more experience".

Actually no, i can wait, that would be terrible, but seriously, **** Berube.

Today I learned that Mathieu Perreault is almost the same player as Claude Giroux. My god, I didn't expect Winnipeg board to be so awful.

Also
This game shouldn't be close at all. The Flyers looked awful last night - the Jets are definitely at least a class above, if not more at this point, and the Flyers have Emery and Zeff to choose from?

  I wouldn't argue with what he said about goalies but otherwise. However Pavelec and Hutchinson aren't much better.

Zepp will start unless the moron decides to continue being a moron.

I hope th Flyers remembered theres a game today and have a little left in the tank. Either way I didn't drop the hundred bucks on the ticket this year, so we may actually win

Zepp gets the start? This will be interesting. Rookie goaltenders are fun to watch sometimes. He will be better than Razor post to post. Then again I probably could be.

I dont understand why TSN is going to black out this game for me. Im 1400km's away. They expect me to go watch the game or what?

The Jets fans are super cocky. Maybe they should be, but it'll be hilarious if we win.

Only preseason but he looked very good. Also looked pretty good in the AHL. Will give up the odd soft goal though.

But as it has been said... better than Emery. I am super surprised they are giving him the start though. This is the Flyers, they seem to love Emery no matter how bad he plays.

If the CBC guys are to belived, Zepp will probably die of fright in the warmup

yeah just look at the fear in his eyes :amazed:....**** that was annoying last night, those tools are like a dog with a bone once they have some stupidass storyline to harp on. painful.

also if i was zepp i would have been dying to get in the game...he couldnt have looked any worse than emery and his teams offense was scoring at will. perfect time to get thrown in there. make a half dozen saves then the team lines up and congratulates you on closing it out...

Those guys were a joke! Those two were idiots. Zepp looks like that and that's his face but it magically means he is scared. He looked focused...

Fans behind Julien Friday had the big head cutouts of him, hope they do Berube. Maybe cutouts of Rocky Dennis would work.
