[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

It was a lot of fun, not a whole lot of work so it’s always a good thing.
The guys played really well in front of me and they didn’t give them a whole lot of quality opportunities, which is always nice when you haven’t played a game in a few weeks.
- Cam Talbot

We’ll take the two wins for sure, kind of in different fashions. Both were low scoring games after we had a few games where we had quite a few goals.
It’s good to see we can win in different ways, especially against a team like that, where one bounce can tie the game up.
We did a good job of containing them and eliminating their opportunities.
- Ryan McDonagh

Every game is different. Every game unfolds differently. I thought we started out with a real good pace.
We were capable of getting through the neutral zone, got some good looks and then they made it harder on us to get through there.
A lot of times the only thing that is there is to chip and chase. It’s tough to get chances off that. In the 3rd, we had 4 or 5 clear out-numbered situations, great looks.
We’ve got to find a way to make sure that even though you can’t put it in, that you are playing the right way defensively.
We gave that team maybe five scoring chances tonight. We did what we had to do to win.
- Alain Vigneault

Hopefully we can go on a (short) Christmas break with another win tonight.

Keep the streak alive :)

These Caps are a lot different than the Caps we've seen over the past decade or so. They're defensively responsible and frustrating to play against. They remind me of us from a couple seasons ago. Holtby isn't terrible, either, which is a big difference.

Let's win and keep the streak alive. LGR!

This one will be a test. Washington's been playing well, unlike the teams we've faced during this streak.

Another Glass game, unfortunately.

The Caps played last night. Holtby was in net so Peters might be starting tonight. We need to take the game to them. Come out skating hard.

Washington plays well with the lead. Gotta jump on them early. Also stay out of the box cause Ovy. And Backstrom, Green, etc...

Looking at the standings, this is about a big a December game as you can have. Seeing as they played last night and then had to travel up here, I think we get it. Lets keep 'er rollin

Hope we pull this off. Was at the Caps game last night. Caps traveled after the game last night. It is the back-end of their back to back. Rangers have to come out playing early.

We need to stay out of the box against this team. It seems like we're taking one idiotic offensive zone penalty a game lately.

Tire out the caps at even strength and take advantage when they lose their legs.
