For all the worry about Ritchie being promoted to the 2nd line, the ice time for the past couple of games tells a different story. Ritchie wasn't promoted. Instead, Spezza was demoted.

So don't let the lines tweeted by the media guys fool you. They may have all listed Shore-Spezza-Ritchie as the second line in their pregame tweets, but this was really the 4th line when you look at even strength ice time. Spezza in particular is being used as a PP specialist.

Yes , after our first line all of our forwards are pretty much equal . We have no clear second line or fourth line. Things can change during the game. The skill difference just isn't that big between the depth players.
