Nashville will always be in tough to land marquee free agents. It has an appeal as a family friendly city for older players, but younger stars see it as a low budget team that while always competitive, is never a true cup contender, and hasn't shown a willingness to spend to shed that reputation.

Our only shot at getting one of the big three from Anaheim is to pay the king's ransom(which we don't really even have to give) and then pray they re-sign after seeing what the city has to offer.

Ducks need to sign at least 9 guys with 28.9 million in cap space. Getzlef, Perry, Selanne, Koivu, Lydman, There's a good 25 million right there in 5 of those 9. You going to ask Selanne to take a pay cut? Problem is the other 4 will becoming from RFAs who might push over a million. Palmieri, Clark, McMillian.

Koivu, but NMC. You could see the Ducks say good bye to Koivu because of his age. But he's at most a 1 yr fix.
