So Crosby, who was the only guy to show up and play well, calls the effort "unacceptable" but he's not a real leader. Malkin, who wasn't even in the lineup, calls the game "bad" and he's Steve Yzerman. :laugh:

Now, was that before or after Sid said "we aren't far from where we need to be"?

Are you seriously putting that much stock into some dime-a-dozen throwaway quotes? Do you believe that Ben Lovejoy is a shining beacon of leadership as well? Brooks Orpik and Matt Niskanen had a lot of nice quotes too. Would you like them to be back? Again, Crosby was the only guy who showed up and played well last game. Genuine individual effort and actual production on the ice. I'm not sure what more he's supposed to do to be a "leader". Enjoy your quotes I guess.
