He did it on national TV. He was asked by about the “too many men” penalty that led to the Flyer’s GWG on a PP by an analyst and he flat out said it was Sobotka’s fault, which was a blatant lie.

Savard raised his stick to come off the ice and approached the bench. Sobotka jumped on and Savard stayed on the ice. Too many men was called. Julien was asked later and said it was on Savard.

It speaks to a guy’s character that he would blame a young player, rather than man up. Can you picture Bergeron doing something like that?
