QUOTES TO NOTE:

It just comes down to a turnover and they get a chance and that’s it.
So it’s a lesson learned that moment in the game. Just gotta get pucks in and out of both blue lines.
It’s a funny game sometimes. I thought we deserved better tonight.
- Marc Staal

This one stings. I thought we played more disciplined. I thought we played hard in our own zone.
We had a lot of zone time, didn’t really get to the good opportunities. It’s one of those bounces in the neutral zone, they go the other way and score.
It sucks that it’s just one minute left and we don’t get anything out of the game.
- Mika Zibanejad

I liked our intentions better. We were night-and-day from a defensive standpoint, our intentions, support, structure, all those things.
It’s two teams that looked like they played Thursday night and unfortunately we were the first team to blink, with a minute to go. Disappointing.
- David Quinn

Hopefully they circled this game on the calendar after the previous bout.

(I realize this is a metaphor.)

The boys in Vegas on a Saturday night, the league could have at least given us a 7 PM local start.

Kakko with Zibanejad? I guess i'm going to have to stay up this night to watch this. Maybe their finnish connection will build up some chemistry?

Kakko's going to have his first drink in Vegas and he'll finally loosen up a little and stop being so nervous. He's gonna go on a rampage tonight, take it to the bank

Is this going to be a thing all season? Or is it running it's course?

You seem like a really good dude but I cannot for the life of me fathom this being funny after the third time. Can we switch it up?

Staal’s quote makes him sound like rookie. A “lesson learned”? You didn’t know that finishing and opportunism matter more than sporadic hard work? “Deserved better”? Now you just sound like a five year old.

Can Kreider get any more ineffective than he already is though?

20 seems demoralized. Clearly an intelligent, analytical guy - it just doesn't seem like he's into it right now. Maybe dead man walking scenario where he knows the end is inevitable. I like Kreider - a lot, but this current iteration of him is not going to cut it. Not even close.
