I think we will be fine. A lot of guys are still recovering and others slumping. If Hart figures things out that’s enough right there. The top of the division looks too far but it will self correct

Isles 9 wins in a row
Caps 5
Pens 6

more than likely, you are looking at or close to the highest pts % for those teams and lowest for us. Of course if we got Ekholm we would do well but I don’t think it would be worth it.

The silicon chip inside her head
Gets switched to overload
Oh, and nobody's gonna go to school today
She's gonna make them stay at home
And daddy doesn't understand it,
He always said she was good as gold
And he can see no reasons
'Cause there are no reasons
What reason do you need to be shown?

Tell me why I don't like Wednesdays
I want to shoot the whole day down.

Better get the two points in this one. Back to back with the Islanders up next will not bode well.
Start Hart tomorrow and Elliott Thursday. Back with Hart Saturday.
Get Prosser out AV.

If Jake gets going and G starts getting rewarded on the score sheet I feel a lot better about this team.

Provorov and Konecny next

The difference between 1994 and 1995 was seismic. The Desjardins-LeClair acquisition was an infusion that few trades in team history could come close to matching.
It was also a classic case of trading good stuff away to get better. Some people seem to think our current team can be improved without giving up any player we like.

G and Jake should be getting a boost by removing Patrick and replacing him with Laughton or TK. Patrick is contributing very little to the line.

I wonder if Gus gets into this game:

Gus has only been on the ice for 3 goals against the last 11 games he has played....all strengths.
Ghost has been on the ice for 8 goals against in the last 3 games....14 goals against his last 8 games...all strengths.
Hagg on the ice for 1 goal against his last 7 games....all strengths.

I would not be surprised if both Gus and Hagg draw back in.

Eras can be compared and contrasted to a degree but in the salary cap age there is a difference in personnel management; the re-acquisition of Hextall that summer provided needed stability in goal. The Roussel/Soderstrom duo of the prior years had limits. Hextall allowed that bleeping unforgettable and unforgivable nightmare goal in the NJD series and that is unfortunately the stamp on that season. But until that point, and after the trade with Montreal, the revitalization in the shortened season was apparent

I would argue it is even harder to fleece a team in a trade now because the cap has led to more conservative roster movement. I think if the current team tries to bolster itself via trade (unless it’s some fringe AHLer), it will be at the expense of a regular in the current lineup.

The three Rangers players on virus protocol are not expected at practice today. That could mean little in daily testing as far as availability for tomorrow
