Gudas is having a hearing today, and I'd expect him to get a game or two.

So we might see Schultz or Medvedev moved to the top pairing with MDZ.

Should be 1 game max IMO. He will get 1 extra for the logo.

I don't even think it deserved more than a 2 minute minor considering Zibanejad tried to bail out on the hit.

Really bad timing as the D is finally clicking and the we could use his physical play against the Devils. Schultz back in the lineup against NJD spells trouble.

Here's to keeping the Wayne train going and couts working on that chest snipe! Nice to be winning again!

If Haks system keeps the goals down and we start getting our scorers scoring we could be ok this year.

i'd like to see Meds and MDZ as a pairing for a game or two..

I think that is the best case scenario. The Russian can move to the right side, and then the other two pairings will have familiar partners. I think MDZ and Meds will be fine for a couple of games.

I don't get it...that Devils roster should NOT have that many wins.

Hopefully the Flyers come out with a new game plan and crush NJ into submission.

Kind of a dumb question, but what kinds of things would they work on at an optional practice with ten players? Would the three D there take turns working with each other on line rushes, or would everyone just mix in and work on skating, passing, etc?

I'm sure Ghost and Manning worked some together to further strengthen their blossoming partnership. Nice to see those two clicking along.

Their defensive group is really underrated, and they have Schneider who is IMO a top 5 NHL goalie.

Special teams however are the only reason they are where they are:

5v5 GF%: 45.8% (22nd in NHL)
5v5 CF%: 48.3% (22nd in NHL)

And those stats are only at that level due to D and goaltending... their D is 2nd in SA/60, 1st in CA/60 and 6th in GA/60. But:

5v5 GF/60: 1.53 (28th in NHL)
5v5 CF/60: 43.3 (30th in NHL)
5v5 SF/60: 24.6 (30th in NHL)

Their offense is in all likelihood going to be the worst in the NHL after 82 games. That 5v5 CF/60 is like 4 below the 2nd worst team... which is ridiculous, they create by far the least offensive chances in the NHL.

PP: 20.2% (10th in NHL)
PK: 84.7% (4th in NHL)

I would be surprised if they made the playoffs tbh.

They just need to create energy against the Devils. They get bored to death out there and lose. They need to just rock somebody early and go from there.
