25.2.2016 | Wild @ Flyers | 6:00PM CST/2:00AM Suomi

WILD (27-23-10) @ FLYERS (26-22-11)

TV: TVA Sports, SN360, FS-N, CSN-PH, NHL.TV

Season series: Michael Del Zotto's second goal of the game, at 4:23 of overtime, gave the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 win against the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center on Jan. 7. Sean Couturier and Ryan White scored for the Flyers. Zach Parise, Jason Zucker and Marco Scandella scored for the Wild.

Wild team scope: Parise, whose 18 goals are tied for the Minnesota lead, will not play Thursday and is day-to-day because of an upper-body injury. The left wing did not travel with the Wild, so it's likely he'll also miss their game Friday at the Washington Capitals. The Wild also will be without Zucker and defenseman Jonas Brodin. Brodin has a foot injury and is expected to be out 2-4 weeks, according to the Star Tribune. Zucker, a left wing, has a concussion and was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Forward Jordan Schroeder was recalled from Iowa of the American Hockey League. He has one goal in 13 NHL games this season and 11 goals and 30 points in 35 AHL games. Zucker was injured Sunday in the second period of the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game on a hit by Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Michal Rozsival.

Flyers team scope: Center Claude Giroux will miss his third straight game because of an upper-body injury, general manager Ron Hextall said Wednesday. He has been day-to-day since he was injured Friday against the Montreal Canadiens. Philadelphia did not practice Wednesday after its 3-1 loss at the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Flyers nearly doubled the Hurricanes in shots, 37-18, and were happy with how they played. "We played a good hockey game; a real good hockey game," coach Dave Hakstol said afterward. "Really in almost every area their goaltender was the difference. You walk away from this one and we didn't get the two points, and that's all that really matters at this time of year. But we did play a [heck] of a hockey game. So we've got to carry that play and that mentality into a home game in two days, and we'll do that."

Lineups TBD after morning skates. Maybe updated to the post, or maybe not. We'll see. It's classified.

Will be interesting to see if all the Yeo press did anything to them. I'm sure many of those guys didn't appreciate it all being aired out like that.

Porter on the second line over Nino? What is Yeo thinking??

Perhaps Torch isn't ready to break up a line that has been doing well recently, last game excepted.

Wild HAVE to win this game. Game against Caps is almost an auto-lose.

Don't know that bringing up Schroeder is going to bring the fear of God into the Flyers...Torch should know better than anyone.

Hate Torch's line combination decisions so far.

Should be:

Vanek - Granlund - Fontaine

Schroeder - Koivu - Coyle

Nino - Haula - Pominville

Porter - Stoll - Carter

Granlund 64

So.... just one change then.... Fontaine/Porter

I'm not putting too much emphasis on 1st-3rd lines as even strength playing time has evened out.

It makes absolutely no sense to play Porter with Granlund and Vanek when you have a guy playing on the 4th line that has proven chemistry with Vanek in the past.

So, what did Porter do in the last game on Granlund that was wrong, and what did Fontaine do that was so good? You do remember that Porter got the only goal, right? Is this a tanking thing?

I think it's a "putting your best players in the best position to succeed" thing, because Fontaine is more likely to score than Porter.

Ironically, that's what we all hated Yeo for.
