Good honest hockey. A come back for the ages on this oneI had to miss this one too. Family dinner halfway across Maryland. What went down?
we honing in on that 12th OA pick baby..I had to miss this one too. Family dinner halfway across Maryland. What went down?
Agreed 100%, and just to add to this, Foerster’s analytical numbers thru this part of the season are very good. He’s been a strong player through this part of the season. It was only a matter of time before the points started coming.Foerster starting to look really god damn good. I mean he has for several weeks, but the points are coming. Good for him
not sure why he is an option...periodErsson single-handedly turning Flyers' shootout history around
Good for Foerster again. Not sure why Atkinson is an OT option these days
The problem with this is...Maybe Flyers will sneak in the 7/8 spot in the playoffs. Maybe Hart channels his inner JS Giguere and the Flyers win the cup and we are all stunned and don’t know how to take it or what to make of it
From what Briere has said over the last half year or so and reiterated on STG this week, trades are going to happen. Just a matter of who and when. Actually right now with so many teams still thinking that they are in the hunt for a PO spot, the demand for Flyers players and the return for them should be high. The problem with this is...
1. Laughton not traded
2. Walker, Seeler not traded
3. Most definitely Hart, TK not traded and TKs next contract is going to be bad on the back end. They already have several of these to deal with
4. At the end of the day, the team is not good enough as constructed to win a playoff series, let alone the Stanley Cup

I'm keeping in mind that Briere has stated that he is focused long term on a rebuild not a cheap meaningless PO run. That might put him at odds with his HC but that doesn't matter. The more that the young guys play well, the better Briere's strategy looks. Ex.- last night's win was due to Foerster and Ersson. Torts' vet pets didn't do it. In fact Staal almost cost them the game single handedly.
same guy different suit.Staal is not specific to Torts. Staal was someone Briere was embarrassingly raving about, after he signed. Speaking of how lucky they were that a marquee free agent like Staal was interested in the Flyers.
