You need to join one of these drafts, two paralyzers would be so confusing for everyone

Patrick Kane did not have a contract when the draft started, so for this draft his cap hit is 10.5M (his cap hit from last year)

This is also only a thing for Kane because I did not add the date when contracts needed to be signed by in the OP. Going forward anyone not signed to a contract before the draft started will be ineligible.

So I wrote the rules different than the way I intended it.

Euros who are not NHL affiliated are not permitted to be drafted unless they had a contract for this season i.e. Datsyuk, but those that are affiliated i.e. Malgin can be.

I meant for it to be anyone affiliated but wrote it as they needed a contract for last season. Since I messed it up, I’m not going to make Ed repick Michkov but going forward, they need a contract for this season, OR to be still NHL affiliated but had a contract last season. I am looking for an example now.

Example: Kravtsov is eligible since he had a contract last season. Nikishin is not eligible since he did not have an NHL contract last season.
