[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

It was more of a big team effort.
I was back there but most of the shots were from the outside and the guys did a great job of boxing out and letting me see pretty much every puck.
- Cam Talbot

I felt like I got stronger as I went on and was able to contribute and make an impact. Kept it pretty simple today.
Just very glad I was able to come back and help these guys with a big win here.
- Ryan McDonagh

If they score it's a one-goal game. By us making it 3-0, it gives us a little bit of a cushion.
- Alain Vigneault

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it was because of the lack of fights.

Or maybe because we missed Tanner Glass's "toffnuss" so, so much today.

I get people wanting fights. I love a good scrap myself. But when the Rangers are killing a team at hockey, I find it hard to not enjoy that.

You don't have to fight a team when you beat them so bad they don't wanna fight.

The Rangers beat the Flyers convincingly, with speed and skill. This is the way you beat hockey teams.

This isn't the 1980's anymore. The goon element is virtually irrelevant in today's game.

I hope to see the same game the Rangers played this afternoon. Beat them on the scoreboard and send them packing.

Hextall's daughter is on sportsnet analyzing the Flyers and goes "they suck, they suck, they suck," at which point she had to be comforted by her co-host.

The Rangers have a positive goal differential now. Only the 2nd time this year they had one.

This is also only the 2nd game the Rangers will be icing a healthy roster. And the season is more than a quarter over. Jeez.

Repeat of yesterday please.

And in the end of the (shortest ever) PGT, someone said they hope Stepan wins a Selke one day and another poster said unfortunately the Selke is basically a reputation award these days, which is so painfully true. Hopefully with the embracing of advanced stats that is going on with the NHL, perhaps they will notice how good Stepan really is defensively.

I the poll thread "Stepan vs Nielsen" on the main boards (for the record Nielsen is a very good player, I'd love him as the 3c) someone posted the GA/60 stats for Stepan in his career and last season. It's astonishing how good he is defensively. We see it every night with the eye test watching every game, but for people that don't realize how good he is defensively, the stats basically say he's better than almost all 1Cs defensively and just a tiny tick behind Bergeron. He PKs and faces the other teams' top lines every night. He is such a good player I want Sather to lock him up ASAP.

Ah, remember the days of: "Derek Stepan with our 2nd round pick???? WHO?????"

And Kreider is out today, that was fun while it lasted

As I said before, this team has the best peak in the conference and one of the best in the league. If only we could stop this Jekyll and Hyde nonsense.

Glass needs to STAY SICK!

we win 2 games without glass and AV I'd going to HAVE to start rotation glass in and out of the lineup, at the least.
